We found this restaurant on a whim and were ecstatic after leaving. Driving through the beginning of downtown Palm Springs, I caught the sign for Il Giardino, and I asked my wife to check the reviews. At that time we were actually heading to a different Italian restaurant that has had shakey reviews over the last few years. What stuck out between these two restaurants was the service and how many reviews for Il Giardino highlight the staff. I can say from experience that it's 100% true. Our waiter was personable, gave fantastic recommendations, and checked on us frequently. Through conversation, we discovered that the night we came in was their first night in a while, as they had a temporary closing to restock. It made the coincidence of us coming in that much more special. For food, my wife had the linguine villadorata and I had the penne crema e salsiccia della casa (recommendation from our waiter). The sauce in which the penne crema was cooked was unlike anything I'd had before. It was tasty and accompanied the rest of the dish so well. I mopped it up with the tableside bread and happily returned a cleaned plate. We ordered two appetizers, the La Novarese and the Bruschetta. They both were delicious and just the right amount of food. After leaving this restaurant, we were so happy to have found a new Italian restaurant to return to when we were vacationing in Palm Springs.

First time.. AND I guarantee it won't be the last! I am Sicilian and this food is absolutely fantastic. Fresh and authentic. Their carbonara is almost perfect! Absolutely true Sicilian, only a few things missing, a little bit more garlic and egg. Then it would be exactly like my grandmother's! Alberto Sanatini who was one of Frank Sinatra's chef had the best Sicilian carbonara in the desert, and unfortunately he passed so I will be coming back here time and time again for it. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

We went for dinner on a Saturday night and walk in's were available. The bruschetta appetizer was a great sign of the meal that was to come. Fresh tomatoes, light oil and warm crispy bread, no vinegar needed because the ingredients spoke for themselves. The lasagna was a family recipe and you could tell the by the flavorful sauce that it's done with love every time. The carbonara was savory and filling. Noodles that tasted homemade and seasoned just right. For dessert we went with the dessert of the day a sponge cake with fruit topping, fruit that was perfectly sweet to balance the likely homemade whipped cream that was light and airy just like the cake. Portion size was excellent for the price. Our server was engaging without being pushy, knowledgeable about the entire menu and made the restaurant very welcoming.

My wife and I celebrated our Anniversary here tonight. The entire dining experience was great! Our waiter, Anthony was on point the entire time. He recommend and Italian Cabernet that was delicious. My wife ordered the raviolis and I ordered the carbonara. Both were so fresh and had great flavor. We highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

An unassuming establishment with great food, decent prices, and attentive service. All the food are home style and let you feel like you left mamas house for dinner! Highlights: Lasagna Classica Al Ragu and Linguini Villa Dorata Not only was the food excellent the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely return.

Fabulous, friendly service at this lovely italian spot. The outdoor area was large so there was plenty of space for our corgi pup to join us. We ordered the branzino and the lamb chops. The branzino was some of the best hubby has ever had. My lamb chops were delicious. It came with potato's and veggies. unfortunately i had broccolini so that was a bummer but otherwise a yummy experience. Not a value meal but still quite tasty.

Friendly, delicious, and our absolute favorite dining experience in Palm Springs. Our server, Douglas, was charming, warm, and insightful. We loved the burrata cheese and pear blue cheese salads. Fairly sure the pear was poached with herbs; so delicious.. The homemade Nonna's sauce was incredible. Bolognese fettuccini and chicken Marsala were excellent. The fresh bread melted in our mouths. My mom & sisters loved the quality, fresh dishes and attentive service. We'll be back on our next visit to Palm Springs.
